Substack Rationale
Why I am
on Substack.
I began covering Ohio State on Substack in 2025 after taking a buyout from the Columbus Dispatch. I am grateful for my 14 years covering the Buckeyes for the Dispatch, but Substack allows me the freedom to write only the stories that I believe are worth your time. I will not write clickbait stories. My goal is to write stories that you can’t get anywhere else – insightful daily stories, thoughtful analysis, and in-depth profiles. My coverage also includes regular podcasts with beat writers from OSU opponents and DVR game reviews. Paid subscribers receive stories automatically via email. An annual subscription costs less than 22 cents per day.
